Rates & Insurance

Working with insurance companies creates an incredible amount of administrative responsibility and time that we feel could be better spent on direct client care. Providing cash only services also keeps your private medical information between us; no third party requests. I only accept regular Medicare to provide availability to senior citizens. This is how I choose to run my practice as I feel it is the most private, efficient and ethical way to provide the best quality care to my clients.

Cash or Credit

I accept all major credit cards via my HIPAA-compliant platform, 'Simple Practice', which makes billing credit cards and debit cards easy.  Medicare clients (200.00 for intake and 175.00 for every routine thereafter).  Cash clients (175.00 per intake and 150.00 per routine thereafter).

Medicare Accepted

I accept Medicare clients; if you have supplemental insurance, you should be covered 100% for psychotherapy sessions. I do not accept Medicare Advantage as I choose not to contract with private insurance companies.

Out of Network

Most insurance companies will honor out of network reimbursement for their members; usually from 70-100%; check with your provider to clarify benefits before your session.  If you would like to try Mentaya's benefit checker, fill out the form here to instantly see your benefits and reimbursement rate. I will provide you with a superbill to present to your insurance provider for reimbursement to you. Payment will be the responsibility of the client each session.

Good Faith Estimates

If you are using “Out of Network” benefits for our sessions or paying privately, you will be provided with a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. The federal “No Surprises Act” mandates that health care providers need to give patients who are not using insurance or don’t have insurance an estimate of their bill for medical services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, and you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate in writing before your first appointment via email. If you receive a bill that is $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
